Garment Merchandiser Manager (French Importer)Job description· Support Office Representative to manage the Shanghai Purchasing Office· Direct line management of the merchandising teams and QC team· Develop, implement and follow up the strategic plan for the division.· Work to improve merchandising and quality control systems in order to guarantee good quality, delivered on time.· Together with the team leaders work actively with evaluation and development of existing as well as new suppliers· Manage price and quotation management· Supervise the development of the supplier database.· Actively promote company name both to customers and within company internally. · Actively work with bringing in additional business both from increasing buying volumes for existing accounts and also by bringing in new accounts. · Supervise the planning of buyer and customer visits, and take part in negotiations when necessary.· Work actively to develop the division both to be able to handle more orders of existing products as well as developing business for"new" products.· Ensure that company regulations are followed among the staff in the division· Competence development of the staff in the division.Requirements· University degree preferably in textile and garment major· Extensive Experience from managing a merchandising team in China.· Extensive knowledge in garment and fabric· Ability to build, develop and manage the division· Experience of sourcing, evaluating and developing new factories in China· Experience of negotiations with both suppliers and customers, developed negotiation skills· Experience from developing merchandising and quality control systems· Ability to motivate and develop staff· Good command of written and spoken English · Good Communication skills· Willing to travel frequently
