1. Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials.
2. Purchases materials, using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels.
3. Gathers quotations, examines bids and makes awards.
4. Develops specifications for new contract orders. Obtains materials, components and equipment.
5. Evaluates vendor reliability, develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate.
6. Monitors cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

1. General supervision of work with assignments that require a thorough and practical knowledge of the technical or business discipline.
2. May be assigned to small projects or to phases/portions of larger projects. Proficient with tools, systems, and procedures required by the work.
3. Understands and applies most principles, theories, concepts, and techniques utilized in the discipline.
4. Developing experience in the applicable discipline in solution creation and increasing business knowledge.
5. Provides resolution to various problems of moderately complex scope.
6. Exercises judgment in the use of defined procedures and practices.
7. Has mastered most of the basic job responsibilities. Contacts are typically with other members of the team, management, and/or outside the immediate organization.
8. Failure to achieve goals may require additional resources to correct.
9. Bachelor's degree with 2-4 year's experience, or Masters with 0-1 year's, or its equivalent.
10.3 years above buyer/planner work experience.
11. Good English, computer (excel, word) skill. Familiar with ERP system.
