Requirement:
1.Bachelor‘s degree required.MBA,and Lean training is a plus.
2.7+years global Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing experience,particularly with Asian suppliers is required.
3.3+years leading,supervising,training,and developing a team consisting of solid and dotted line direct reports.
4.Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.Able to back-up thoughts with solid logic and facts.
5.Excellent skills in purchasing techniques such as strategic sourcing,supplier selection,developing contracts,supplier management,and supply chain logistics.
6.Strong leadership,negotiation,influence,presentation,project management,and business acumen skills.
7.Demonstrated success building relationships and leading across diverse functions,cultures,regions,suppliers,and sites.Effective working in a matrix organization.
8.Demonstrated ability partnering cross-functionally and with suppliers to achieve world class performance levels.Lean and/or Six Sigma experience a plus.
9.Results oriented,self-starter,and able to handle multiple initiatives while meeting all deadlines.
10.Solid analytical and problem solving skills.Proficient with Excel,other Microsoft Office software,Lotus Notes,and function specific software.
Responsibilities:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for leading our China based team to accomplish our strategic sourcing,purchasing,and supplier improvement goals and objectives.
1.Lead our global strategic supplier sourcing activities for current and potential Asian suppliers.This includes supplier scanning,qualification,selection,contract development,partnership development,and capability improvement activities for Asian suppliers.
2.Lead our China based team in all aspects of the strategic supplier sourcing process supporting growth and innovation initiatives for all Office Products regions(North America,Europe,and Australia)。
3.Manage our cross-functional Office Products China based team,which will include some solid and dotted line reporting relationships.
4.Operate as a business partner with R&D,Marketing,Engineering,and Supply Chain team to support new product development activities,sampling,prototype,tooling,etc.
5.Proactively scan the Asian marketplace for potential suppliers with products and capabilities that support identified unmet consumer needs.
6.Actively engage in implementing best practices in the areas of strategic sourcing,organization design and development,cost modeling,developing enhanced supplier relationships to support the business,contract management,internal customer alignment,compliance management,。
7.Develop and update a supplier database for current and potential suppliers.
8.Travel to Office Products locations,suppliers,and other locations as needed.
