　　Incorporated　in　1986　and　headquartered　in　Delray　Beach，Fla.  ，Office　Depot　has　annual　sales　of　over$15　billion，and　employs　approximately　49，000　associates　around　the　world.  Currently，the　Company　sells　to　customers　directly　or　through　affiliates　in　42　countries.

　　Office　Depot　was　incorporated　in　1986　with　the　opening　of　our　first　retail　store　in　Fort　Lauderdale，Florida.  Our　three　business　units　are：North　American　Retail　Division（retail　operations　in　the　US　and　Canada），North　American　Business　Solutions　Division（North　American　delivery　channels，including　catalogue，contract　and　e-commerce　sales）and　International　Division（wholly-owned　catalogue，contract，e-commerce　and　retail　sales　operations　outside　of　North　America）。Sales　are　processed　through　multiple　channels，consisting　of　office　supply　stores，a　contract　sales　force，internet　sites，direct　marketing　catalogs　and　call　centers，all　supported　by　our　network　of　crossdocks，warehouses　and　delivery　operations.

　　Office　Depot　sells　in　three　major　categories：supplies（61%of　total　2006　sales）；technology（26%）；and　furniture　and　other（13%）。

　　Global　revenues　are　approximately　evenly　split　between　Office　Depot’s　retail　and　business-to-business　segments.
