Job Description:
Within the International Cooperation Division,you will lead the International Supply Chain department and be responsible for the success of Biostime's international sourcing activites with new and existing suppliers of premium pediatrics nutrition and baby care products.You will work as an executive manager to implement our group's global purchasing strategies within Europe and America.
Typical work includes:
1 Conduct and organise the company's international supply chain activites to achieve targets.
2 Direct and coordinate activities engaged in buying&importing raw materials,products,equipment,machinery,from supplies outside China;
3 Represent company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with international suppliers.
4 Supervise custom clearance related work and negotiations with Chinese customs officers when needed for the importation of goods
5 Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions,policies,and procedures.
6 Locate vendors of materials,products,equipment or supplies,and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales.
7 Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for suppliers,products and equipment.
8 Coordinate the communication of the department with company's other divisions including R&D,quality-control,production and sales planning divisions
9 Participate in the development of specifications for equipment,products or substitute materials.
10 Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
11 Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.
Utilizing your analytical skills,commercial knowledge and experience of supply-chain management,you will also constantly review both supply-chain and price strategies for key product lines to decrease total cost,improve delivery of quality goods and drive improvements in the overall supply chain process.
The Successful Applicant
To qualify,you should have a master's degree qualification together with a minimum of 5 years multinational procurement experience which will enable you to work within international cross function teams and deliver results.
The candidate needs to deeply understand the culture and business environment of our international suppliers,therefore we prefer someone whom has lived and worked in Europe or America.
Experience within the baby nutrition,food,cosmetics or other fine chemical category will be at a distinct advantage.
Fluent English communicate skills are required since the main working language will be English;Chinese skills(both spoken and written)are also required for internal communication and team management.
The role will require strong negotiation,persuasion,social perceptiveness,coordination,management&organisation,critical thinking,judgment and decision making skills,and the technical ability to successfully support a high volume of new product introduction programs.
Be expected to be based in our Guangzhou headquarter office,with frequent international business trips.
