RESPONSIBILITIES:MANAGE A TEAM OF 120 TO 150 EMPLOYEES CONSISTING OF EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE, MFG ENGINEERS, PLANING, QC AND OPERATORS IN A VALUE STREAM REPRESENTED BY FAMILY PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED FOR EXPORT. PLAN AND DEMONSTRATE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENTS IN KEY OPERATIONAL METRICS CONSIDERED CRITICAL FOR SUCCESS OF THE VALUE STREAM. These metrics include, but are not limited to: productivity, machine downtime, scrap, rework, delivery/customer service, and safety.Candidates must be self-starters who take initiative on their own to advance the objectives of their organization. They must have excellent team building skills and be able to work effectively in a matrix organization. KEY REQUIREMENTS:Over 8 years work experience in directly managing production operations in a multinational company,· Preferably from auto or associated industry,· Demonstrated use of a ERP system to manage orders and operations planning,An environment where continuous improvement is practiced and followed diligently,· Should have a good working knowledge in the use of visual management tools,Good understanding and application of Lean,· Familiar with and demonstrated use of commonly used problem solving tools,Good understanding of ISO9000 and/or TS16949 requirements,· Candidates that have worked in a regulated environment,Demonstrate · good leadership skills as well as · Ability to communicate with others in a team based environment.· Ability to apply good problem solving skills to identify root causes of and develop actions plans that fix the problem. Fluent in spoken/Written English and Mandarin is a must.
