The client has been making cables for over forty years, exporting products to all corners of the globe. In addition to marine cables, it makes optical fibre, instrumentation and fire resistant cables. The company has production facilities in Kaarina and Hanko in Finland and in Shanghai in China.
Position: Quality Manager(Cabels)
Report to: General Manager (Finnish)
Subordinates: 3 (testing engineer)
Location: Shanghai
Main Responsibility
Assist and consult the management in all quality related areas.
Establish, maintain and optimize company's quality management system to ensure high quality in delivery process, conformity of purchased materials, and final products.
Develop and implement procedures to resolve internal or external quality issues.
Create and manage procedures to ensure quality in supply chain.
Meetings with vendors, customers and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems.
Plan and execute Quality Training.
Lead the testing team.
Profile of the candidate.
Education: Bachelor degree or above, engineering background
Language: Good written and verbal English.
Professional experience and personal characteristics:
At least 5 years working experience in Quality Management in a cable manufacturing company.
Good understanding of quality system knowledge including ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 etc.
Expertise to perform internal and/or external quality audits.
Previous team leading experience is a definite advantage.
Good team-working, communications and co-operation skills.
Detailed, systematic and accurate.
High quality ambition.
Hardworking and loyal.
Able to solve problems independently.
