Accountabilities:
Ensure Vopak Safety Health & Ethical (SHE), technical, commercial and ethical standards, policies and principles are communicated to potential and all qualified China vendors.
Maintain commercial and ethical standards, policies and principles
Assist with the analysis of the China manufacturing market developments and follow quarterly the trend of specific markers of the markets.
Assist with qualification audits like submission of Vopak Request for Information to potential vendors, preparation and completion of vendor evaluation documents, planning of and assisting with vendor visits,
Update the Global & China Vendor Data Base with obtained vendor information and check yearly with the qualified vendors if Vopak vendor information is still up to date.
Prepare draft Company Profile for all qualified vendors and vendors selected for qualification.
Obtain yearly the Financial Reports of all qualified vendors and obtain comments from Vopak China Controller on financial health of the vendor.
Carry out desk expediting of all orders placed by Vopak Divisions outside China
Assist with call-off of QA/QC inspection services for all orders placed by Vopak Divisions outside China.
Assist with the Performance Measurement of all qualified vendors with frequent commitments from Vopak and its EPC contractors.
Assist with projects cost estimation, issue of tenders with follow-up and receipt of the bids etc.

Experience and qualifications required:
Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin and English.
Mechanical Engineering background on Bachelor of Science or Master Level.
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
Cultural sensitivity.
Strong analytical ability.
Strong commercial acumen.
Sensitive to internal and external stakeholder needs and desires
Project experience with at least 3 years in Contracting and Procurement is preferred but not required.
