Search potential suppliers
Contact and audit the supplier’s ability to reach Kimball’s requirements
Maintain and expand Product Sourcing participation with suppliers
Collect and load data into Product Sourcing, SAP, and other databases
Secure required drawings and specifications from customers, plants and/or suppliers
Active member of the Commodity Teams
Collect part number, commodity, price, quote, and forecast information from SAP and other databases.
Analyze data and prepare reports for Sourcing Managers and Commodity Management Teams
Cost estimating, based on statistical data
Support/drive supplier localization for the BOM after the award of business
Align supplier terms and conditions with customer expectations. Requirements:
Strong Mechanical and electronics background
Strong negotiation skills Organize, input and retrieve data needed for report generation Computer literate with ability to use MS Office and other software
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
Strong knowledge of electronic/mechanical component cost structures and manufacturing processes.
