Responsibilities:
1. Support suppliers throughout Asia
2. Define requirements for each business unit.
3. Work with other members of Asia sourcing team to complete evaluations (and required documentation) of identified new sources of supply.
4. Negotiate commercial terms- pricing, quantity, payment terms, lead times and quality-in conjunction with commodity teams
5. Communicate successes (lessons learned) to all regions globally to assure all technical work is leveraged throughout the division
Understand from commodity team leaders the raw material and component needs
6. Develop an approved supplier list of low cost suppliers.
7. Locate and audit low cost suppliers.
8. Represent Veyance in supplier development meetings - maintain a professional approach respecting new/different cultures. 9. Assist Global SQA engineers to achieve planned results.
10. Take the lead when communicating quality or delivery problems become necessary.
12. Push for improved payment terms as relationships develop. Provide tracking of terms by supplier...
Requirements:
1. Minimum five years commercial experience in Purchasing, Marketing, Business Planning, or Sales
Rubber product design experience
2. Rubber product manufacturing experience
3. Fluency in Microsoft Office applications
4. Bachelor of Science Degree in chemical, mechanical engineering or supply chain.
5. Good negotiation skills
6. Cost and cash flow analysis.
7. Project management, leading teams and presentation skills, influence & facilitation skills.
8. Good oral and written communication skills
9. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
10. Must have good communication skills in both oral and written English
11. A positive, attitude and 'no surprises' mentality
