PRIMARY FUNCTION:The Logistic Manager will base in Changshu and directly report to GM.  She/he should plan,direct and coordinate warehousing,distribution,forecasting and materials planning services for the company.  Manage logistics personnel and systems and direct daily operations to ensure customers‘needs are met.  SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:1.  Direct warehouse operation to ensure achievement of cost,productivity,accuracy and timeliness objectives.  2.  Continuously review and analyse all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective and efficient means of manufacturing,transporting and packaging products and supplies across the network.  3.  Direct inbound/outbound logistics operations such as warehouse,outsourced vendors and 3PL transport providers,safety performance and logistics quality management.  4.  Plan and implement material flow management systems to meet production/demand requirements.  5.  Analyse and report on financial impact of proposed logistics changes-routing,shipping modes,product volume/mixes and carriers.  6.  Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems and processes-customer sales,order management,accounting and warehouse/s 7.  Assist in developing procedures for coordination of logistics with other functional areas,such as sales,marketing,finance,production,and quality assurance.  8.  Develop and implement policies and procedures for logistics activities.  9.  Ensure carrier compliance with company policies and procedures for product transit delivery.  10.  Ensure the company’s compliance with all import and export(customs)requirements.  11.  Analyze information about logistics supplier performance and make recommendations/implement improvements.  12.  Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials and products.  13.  Assist in defining performance metrics for measurement,comparison,or evaluation of supply chain,warehouse and distribution factors.  14.  Design and implement plant warehousing strategies for production materials or finished products.  15.  Ensure appropriate inventory control and safety stock measures are in place for all materials to meet customer demand.  16.  Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving,storing and shipping products or materials.  17.  Interview,select,and train warehouse and supervisory personnel within the scope of the function.  18.  Plan,develop,and implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.  19.  Issue shipping instructions and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.  20.  Confer with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities,such as production,inventory,sales,records control,and purchasing.  21.  Schedule and monitor air or surface pickup,delivery,or distribution of products or materials.  22.  Carries out cost studies and establishes handling delivery and associated charges for use in preparation of costing and tender processes.  23.  Arranges adequate space requirements for storage of products to meet current and future needs.  24.  Plans and coordinates the internal transfer of raw materials and collection of finished goods.  25.  Recommends the establishment of new/improved distribution centres and channels.  26.  Manage all aspects of performance management including but not limited to motivating staff and conducting performance management/disciplinary procedures where required for the distribution team.  Measure performance against agreed objectives and conduct whilst promoting a quality culture.  27.  Ensure that staff are provided with appropriate training and development opportunities in order to satisfy the requirements of their position and further growth where required.  28.  Commitment to and implementation of EHS(Environment,Health&Safety)policies and procedures and ensuring staff are following company EHS requirements.  29. Other duties as requested/directed from time to time.  REQUIREMENTS:Degree qualified in a relevant business discipline Tertiary qualifications in logistics or relevant discipline.  Minimum of 5-10 years current and local logistics experience in a similar role including 3+years direct supervisory experience.  Proven successful experience working for a multi-national manufacturing company shipping products globally.  Management of 3PL vendors.  Strong computer literacy including but not limited to Microsoft applications and SAP or similar ERP system.  Sound oral and written communication skills(English and Chinese dialect)Strong supervisory,organizational,analytical and planning ability.  Strong understanding and implementation of EHS measures within a similar environment.
