Specific Responsibilities:
Technical Operations&Service Management Oversee day-to-day IT operations for the GSC site Ensure effective end-user support is provided for all IT issues,and act as escalation point when necessary Ensure the correct priorities are understood by central support groups and required solutions expedited in line with business expectations Communicate with local business groups to ensure that incident reporting\escalation procedures are correctly followed and provide information on incident status,priorities and resolutions,where needed while working closely with the GSC Undertake local Major Incident Management for the geographical area liaising with other key parties as needed and also work to reduce major incident occurances through root cause analysis and proactive measures with support teams Perform periodic service delivery reviews with business groups,and with the GSC and other third party vendors,and follow up agreed improvement plans Review and provide process improvement recommendations to central support groups based on local experience Manage IT equipment and assets inventory[including software licenses]Plan and orchestrate office moves with local Office Services Co-ordinate local security audits and manage follow up actions Integrate IT solutions and services with practical business requirements in support of business strategy and planning Communicate and promote Maersk Line IT policies and strategic initiatives.Transition Ensure the smooth transformation of technical IT services operation and management for the Country Cluster IT organisations Provide input into vendor selection process as required Ensure that key changes that may impact service delivery are planned,communicated and managed during the transformation Ensure that the business organisation is trained to report incidents directly with the GSC Proactively monitor IT service levels during transition and agree required actions to address any issues Establish key relationships with internal and external service providers.
Vendor Management Manage local IT service contracts with third party vendors Maintain close working relationship with 3rd party vendors and GSC Monitor performance levels,addressing any gaps Assist in negotiating cost reductions and quality improvements.Ensure timely settlement of invoices and also ensure Telephony expense management process is followed where applicable Technical skills and specific experience:
At least 8 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure,operations and service delivery,preferably in a 24X7 environment
Knowledge of datacenter management and coordination with support vendors to ensure 99.99%uptime for all components in the datacenter
Knowledge of networking concepts and server management basics
Basic understanding of various Microsoft products used in our infrastructure such as MS Exchange,SQL,IIS,FTP,Clustering,Active Directory and SCCM/SMS
Exposure to budgeting,tracking of expenses,procurement,etc
Certifications[preferred,but not mandatory]
