Has prior experience in sales of pharmaceuticals1 Fair technical and commercial experience in relevant product and market areas 
2 Able to professionally represent the company‘s interests at all levels of management and at industry, organizations, technical conferences and with regulatory bodies and government departments.  
3 Able to realistically assess & exploit new markets for existing and developmental products.  
4 Able to negotiate sales contracts 
5 Understand how to set pricing levels and credit limits 
6 Self motivating with efficient time and territory management skills.  
7 Be able to work independently with a high level of motivation.
1.  Meets sales budgets and other sales goals, mutually agreed with his immediate superior.  
2.  Calls on and maintains regular contact with assigned customers.  
3.  Manage distributors & their activities with assigned customers.  
4.  Informs customers of supply and price trends.  
5.  Keeps informed on new products and other general information of interest to customers.  
6.  Responsible for securing and renewing orders, and for developing new customers as required.  
7.  Refers complaints to proper departments of the company, and performs necessary follow-up.  
8.  Maintains a sales programme based on customers & markets estimated requirements.  
9.  Maintains up-to-date profiles of key customers.  
10.  Checks and communicates on competitive activities.  
11.  Keeps records and make detailed call reports on all phases of his sales activities.  
12.  Provides information on competitive products, developmental products and new and uses upon specific instructions from his superior.  
13.  Liases with technical support regarding the modification and/or development of products to meet customers requirements.  
14.  Organizes his duties to spend 70% of his time in the field.
