Job Description:
---This position provides project management of large and MID-size projects. A key accountability is to ensure the quality and timely completion of system projects undertaken to support business functions.
---This position is the primary point of contact between a project team and management. The Project Manager works directly with the customers to evaluate needs and determine methods for accomplishing their corporate goals. ---They are responsible for keeping abreast of current project management tools and techniques.
---This position works directly with Infrastructure teams and other positions as required to manage project activities.
---The position serves as a quality review point for projects to ensure that all project steps have been completed and documented appropriately.
---The position works with Management to obtain and manage project budgets, including training and procurement.
---Additional responsibilities may be required.
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science, or equivalent experience, required. Master's degree and/or project management certification (e. G., PMP) preferred.
2. English at least business level. Business level Japanese also preferred, but not essential.
3. A minimum of 5 years or approximately 4500 hours managing IT projects in a matrix environment, involving direct control of schedule, budget and scope.
4. Knowledge of standard software development and PMBOK-based project management methodologies required. Strong leadership, interpersonal, influence, negotiation, and communication skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Office applications required. Project management certification (e. G., PMP) preferred.
