Major ResponsibilitiesManage regional vehicle logistics route development and maintenance and vehicle status tracking.
Work with logistics service providers to setup automated data capture points to track vehicle movements from source plant to dealer for all markets with OTD systems. Oversee the weekly delivery to promise reporting processes to provide tracking of vehicle deliveries for APA imports to assure vehicles are delivered in line with Sales program expectations. Resolve issues leading to delivery delays or ahead of schedule conditions and work with source and import Markets to develop recovery plans. Implement Global practices and reporting standards for Vehicle Logistics planning, transportation, quality & yard management and regionalize common elements under APA MP&L. Develop & implement common service provider selection criteria, statement of work and investigate opportunity for consolidation vehicle logistics of services. Standardize vehicle logistics carrier performance and operations metrics in alignment with Global Ford agreements.
Implement a common damage claims process for finished vehicles to assure timely and accurate recovery of funds from responsible parties. Develop regional cost, quality and delivery metrics and setup regular forum for feedback to management and customers. Establish working relationships with Ford & JV Plant MP&L Vehicle Distribution functions to work as one cohesive teamCandidate QualificationEducation: Bachelor Degree - Business or Engineering field. M. B. A. A plus.
Professional Exposure: 3 yrs + experience in any of the following: Vehicle Logistics, Yard Management, Trading Company, Supply Chain Mgt, Logistics Purchasing, Inventory Management, Management of external logistics service providers. Knowledge of Lean Logistics concepts Proficient in conducting business in English language among non-native speakers Knowledge of corporate MRP systems & inventory management. Working Knowledge of MS Office Suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint Willing to travel locally and internationally as requiredCompetencies
